Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7 NIV)

What would Jesus do when someone rejected Him or ridiculed Him?  He loved them.  He accepted them the way they were and loved them.  His love melted hearts and caused people to turn to Him.  What do we do when we are rejected?  I have a neighbor who is unhappy with me.  Every time I pass by I wave but she looks away.  I can’t change her opinion of me but I can still accept her and love her.  As I was meditating on this verse I thought of her so I have placed her on my prayer list.  It is not easy accepting others when they have different opinions and beliefs as ours.  Sometimes we need to pray that God will change our heart so we can accept others unconditionally.  This doesn’t mean we condone what they do or think but we can accept them as children of God.
