For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ (Matthew 25:35-36 NIV)
In reading this text it seems that it wouldn’t take a super human to do these things for God. Amazingly, when we take a step to do something for God, something will get in the way. A problem will pop up, a project at work, a thought in our heads that we aren’t good enough to work for Jesus. Interestingly, when Jesus was here, he didn’t call a bunch of people with letters after their name or with super human strength. He called fishermen who had no education, no wealth, no experience. What they did have was a willingness to follow. How about you?
