Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (Ephesians 6:10 NIV)
While Paul was imprisoned in Rome, he wrote a letter to the Ephesians giving them encouragement and instructions to keep united in Christ. Ephesians 6:10 begins the conclusion of his letter. In it he uses the soldier guarding him as illustration on the requirements to remain faithful and strong in the Lord and in the mighty power of His grace. Paul reveals the secret of victory. Abiding in Christ is the secret to living a victorious life in Christ. This is also important to us today. To remain united with fellow believers, to remain strong in faith, to receive the might power of the grace of Jesus, by putting on the whole armor of God. His grace is sufficient for us.
