Blessing Cup

Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. Psalm 16:4a (NLT)

As I read this, I thought of “other gods” like Baal that the Israelites worshipped. But then I made it personal and wondered what other gods, with a little “G”, I chase after. We usually have one = another god. For some it’s work, for some shopping, for some it’s the need to feel important. Little gods come in as many shapes and sizes as we do. I started to reflect on mine and asked God to show me why I need that and what I could do to get rid of it. I did have some interesting revelations and hope to have more as I continue to pray about it. How about you?  What or who is your little G god? Maybe after some time we will all be able to say:

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. (v 5)
