Closed Doors

(7)  Be patient and wait for the LORD to act; …
(8)  Don’t give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble.
(9)  Those who trust in the LORD will possess the land, …
Psalms 37:7-9 GNB

Did you ever feel stuck? You’ve been working on things and it’s all moving along and suddenly everything comes to a grinding halt. No matter what you do, which door you try to open, nothing budges.  If you are a task oriented person, this is a nightmare. You begin to question yourself….”What am I doing wrong?”….”What could I do better?” Maybe, just maybe, God has placed you in his waiting room. He’s waiting for something and quite honestly, he’s probably not going to tell you what.

I know from experience you can spin and spin and spin when this happens. It’s quite agonizing. Do yourself a favor, stop spinning. If you have given God permission to lead in your life, rest knowing that he’s not going to let you wait to your detriment. He wants what’s best for you and will wait for as long as it takes for “your best” to happen. You might as well stop trying to fix it and enjoy the down time.
