Dancing before the Lord

And David danced before the Lord with all his might. 2 Samuel 6:14 (NLT)

Did you ever get so happy about something God has done or is doing in your life that you danced? The Bible talks about people celebrating and worshiping God in all sorts of ways. David danced as he brought God’s ark into his city. In Acts when the lame man was healed, he walked and leaped and praised God (Acts 3:8). And God does the same. In the gospels God is portrayed as the Father who runs to us when we return home. Love is meant to be celebrated! It’s supposed to make you joyfully happy. There are so many reasons to jump for joy and shout out our love for God. Next time you feel that burst of God-love, try it! Dance, leap, praise and celebrate your love for the Lord of Lords!

But for you, the ones who tremble at the sound of My name, a warm sun of righteousness will come forth with healing in its rays, and you will go out, springing from the stalls like calves in open pasture. Malachi 4:2 (VOICE)
