Dreams and Visions

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17 NIV

In our verse today, Peter is quoting Joel 2:28. The people in Peter’s day were seeing prophecy fulfilled before their eyes. Notice that all people, men, women, and children can receive the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are always available to the servants of God.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NIV
