Even Me!

Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.  Matthew 10:31 (RSV)

The other day I was coming home to find the traffic stalled in the middle of the block.  Being accustomed to delays, I patiently waited for the traffic to clear.  As I waited, I noticed my lane was starting to move slowly, the oncoming traffic was not.  Then I saw what it was all about.  There was a little duck slowly crossing the street.

When I saw this I laughed and thought about the time I watched my son watching a tomato worm crossing a busy country road.  Then I thought:  Is this not like our heavenly Father watching and protecting his children on earth?  The driver of the car could have knocked the duck asunder.  But, no, it patiently chose to wait until the little duck could make up its mind where it wanted to go.

Is it not so with our heavenly Father?  No matter how small, insignificant, and confused we feel.  He is there to watch and protect us.  To think we are that important to our heavenly Father, gives one hope our life is indeed worth living.  Many times I feel alone and discouraged, and then God gives me another life experience with which I can witness for Him.  Praise God for the saving grace He gives us in His son Jesus Christ.  The life He gave for our sake, so we may have life.  Glory hallelujah!

PRAYER:  Dear heavenly Father, keep us always on the straight and narrow path.  Let us not forget you care for us no matter how small and insignificant we feel.  May we always be able to share your love by the way we live our lives.  Amen

Thought for the Day:  Let us not be discouraged.  God does care and He has a place for each of us.
