Ever wonder why we have a 7-day week?

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Genesis 2:2 NIV

In Genesis 1:1-2:1, God created the world in six days. On the sixth day, He created His most prized possession – humans. Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day. They were God’s crowning glory. Then God spent the 7^th day communing with His new creation. He spent the day with Adam and Eve, enjoying their company. I am sure He walked them around the garden home that He had created for them.

It has been around 6,000 years since God put life on this globe. We still have a 7-day week. Why not spend some time with our Creator on the 7^th day and commune with Him? Have a weekly celebration and enjoy His company.
