Faith, Love, Hope

We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.  (1 Thessalonians 1:3 NIV)

Faith, Love, and Hope are the foundation of a Christian’s character.  Our faith produces works.  It is not the other way around.  Yes, we can do works that causes others to look well upon us but that is not the works that I am talking about.  The faith within us continues to grow as our relationship with Jesus grows.  Our love for him comes out in our love for others.  We will have a genuine desire to help others because our love for the Father and Jesus Christ overflows.  Our hope in the promises of God gets stronger.  Our hope is centered on Jesus Christ and His salvation.  Our hope looks forward to Jesus’ soon return.  What if you feel your faith is not strong enough?  As you stay connected to Jesus it will grow as a mustard seed into something very beautiful (Luke 17:6).
