I want to share with you a recipe that was recommended to me a few years ago. I recently used it when I thought I was coming down with bronchitis. In raising my children I always made fresh lemon juice, honey and warm water for coughs. This recipe goes further. It has garlic, ginger, and cayenne pepper – ingredients that help your immune system. I have a friend that uses it for a salad dressing. It tastes good though it is a bit spicey. I hope this recipe will help you.
Flu Bomb
- 8 cloves of fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon honey (I sometimes use a little more)
- 3/4 cup hot water.
Put everything in a blender and blend until everything is liquified. Refrigerate. Take a few sips throughout the day.
(It is easier to drink when it has been in the refrigerator 30 minutes or more. You can drink it warm if you like.)
