A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24 NKJV

We all need friends. We need people that we can trust. Friends that will have your back. The best friends should be our family. Sometimes, family dynamics can cause a rift between family members. When our family rejects us, Jesus says we are His family. Our church family can provide the love and acceptance that we need. Our duty is to look for those in our “family” and lift them up when they are discouraged. Be loving towards those that seem unlovable. They are the ones that need love the most.

He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:48-50 NIV
