God’s Big Picture

… I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. (Exodus 9:14 NIV)

Even when God sent the plagues on Egypt, he did it still trying to reach them. Many of the plagues were a contradiction to their false Gods. The plague of frogs, blood and many others directly exposed their false worship and showed that Yahweh was the one true God.  Do you think the Egyptians wondered “Why is this happening to us?” “What did we do to deserve this?” Or did they know that God was trying to reach them and change them.  Maybe it’s the same with us?  When things go wrong, do we ask “Why did you do this God?” or do we look for the big picture plan that God always has to grow us and change us so he is our first love?
