God’s Love Removes Fear

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 NIV

Fear is the opposite of boldness. Fear lacks courage. As Christians, we should have the boldness and courage to share the Gospel. How can we lose our fearfulness? Through our trust and love for the LORD, we lose our fearfulness. Fearfulness is self-centered. We are afraid to share the Gospel because we think we will be rejected. People may make fun of us. They may think we are crazy. When we recognize that fear is self-centered, we realize that our love for the LORD is lacking.

LORD, please forgive us for our lack of love. Please help us not to be self-centered but Christ-centered. Amen.
