He Gave Me Strength

On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 (NASB)

I love this text. I love it because some days you wake up and it’s the same old, same old. It feels like you are stuck in the Ground Hog Day movie and the problem you are staring at hasn’t budged an inch. That gets old. I love this text because even when I can’t move the mountain, I can change my perspective of what it looks like. On the days I feel like I can’t look at the same scenery one more time, I call on my God.  When I spend time with him, what I stare at suddenly is filled with a different hue. And there is something about knowing that he has an answer – and it is something I can’t even imagine! The same old, same old isn’t a repeat anymore because God is never what we expect. Gradually, where I felt wrung out, I feel strong….deep, deep inside where my circumstances can’t reach.
