He Holds My Hand

The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. (Psalms 37:23-24 NIV)

As I have been studying Psalms 37 I have found many promises.  Today’s promise gives me joy.  God is walking with me.  He is holding my hand.  Think of a parent holding the hand of their child that is learning to walk.  If they stumble, the parent catches them.  Our LORD and Savior does the same for us.  He walks with us and holds our hand.  If we trip, He is there to catch us.  I also envision a couple walking on the beach in love, holding hands.  This also makes me think of our LORD who loves us so much and holds our hand because He loves us and shows affection towards us.

LORD, thank you for loving us.  Thank you for being there for us.  Thank you for catching us when we fall.  You are awesome!  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
