He Is Faithful

Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:21-23 NLT)

Yet I still dare to hope. Sometimes at the end of the day or even at the dawn of the next morning, it’s hard to find your hope. It got lost somewhere in the ‘to do lists’, the problem solving, the reminders of things not done. And if you throw in the news….political battles, people who don’t care about human life, wars in other countries and starving children….it can be down-right depressing.  So when my heart is lacking hope, I search for the one thing that always fills me up.  God. I spend time talking to him, thinking about who he is and what he wants for my life and I am filled up again.  The stuff we face here? This too will pass but God will not. He is forever.

The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. (Isaiah 58:11 NLT)
