His Will

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 26:39 NIV)

Jesus choose to come to this world to take our place that we may have eternal life and no longer be separated from God.  He knew His time had come.  He is heavily laden with our sins.  He goes to His garden of prayer, the Garden of Gethsemane.  He pours out His sorrow to His Heavenly Father.  Is it possible for another way to accomplish the task? He asks.  If there is no other way, that is OK.  He wants to do the Father’s will.

Are you going through a difficult time?  Have you been impressed by God to do something and you are not sure you can do it?  Take it to the LORD.  Pour out your burdens on Him.  He understands what you are going through.  If there is another way, He will provide.  If not, He will give you the strength you need when you follow His will.
