In the Light of His Pesence

You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. (Psalms 90:8 NIV)

When we look at other people we only see the “mask” that they present to the world.  We all wear “masks”.  We don’t want others to see the deep secrets of our hearts.  We know there are things in our lives that we wish weren’t there.  Sometimes they pop up out of nowhere when we are tired and/or stressed.  When this happens to me and I realize the evil that is in my heart I confess my sin quoting 1 John 1:9.  I give God permission to pull the sin out and remove all the roots with it so there is nothing left behind.  He is faithful and just and forgives me.  When I confess my sin, it starts the purifying process.  God can’t remove the sin until I admit and confess the sin.  I come away refreshed knowing that He is working on me from the inside out.  I serve a mighty God!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 NIV)
