It’s Not A Religion It’s A Relationship

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:26-27 NIV)

We sell two popular t-shirts that say “Religion Does Not Save People Jesus Does” and another one that says “It’s Not A Religion It’s A Relationship”.  It is not church attendance.  It is not how much money we give.  It is not the leadership role that we have that saves.  It is not just reading God’s word that saves.  The Devil knows God’s word better than we do.  It is the relationship that you have with Jesus that saves.  How do we know we have a relationship with Jesus?  When we put into action God’s word in our daily lives.  Are we showing God’s love to the people around us?  When we experience a close relationship with the Lord we will live out His will in our lives.
