Joy

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: (Philippians 2:3-5 NIV)

The formulae for JOY is Jesus-Others-You.  The second chapter of Philippians tells us how we can have joy.  Joy comes from having humility by putting others before ourselves.  We are basically selfish people.  It does not come natural to put others first.  Yet, when we put Jesus first our self-centeredness becomes Christ-centered.  When we put Him first we become more like Him.  He always put others first.  He placed our needs before His when we willing gave His life for us so that we may become one with Him and live throughout eternity with Him.  We can bring joy to others when we put their needs before ours.
