Jesus vs. Barabbas

Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. (Mark 15:15 NIV)

Jesus vs. Barabbas.  Jesus – the son of God.  Barabbas name means son of the father.  Jesus the righteous one.  Barabbas the sinful one – a murderer.  Barabbas was set free.  Jesus was condemned to die.  Jesus took Barabbas’ place on the cross.  Barabbas deserved death for his sins as we do.  Jesus took our place on the cross for our sins so that we may be set free.
