Let Go – Let God

I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. Philippians 12-13 (AMP)

God’s goal is to grow us past where we are now, past the things that hold us, to a better place. Sometimes, getting where he wants us to be means we have to let go of what we are holding so we can us our then free hands to take hold of his plan. That letting go process can be very painful and sometimes terrifying. But since we know that God has a plan for us and that plan is better than ours, we need to release our grasp and stretch toward God’s ideas of what’s best. What are you holding tightly to today? Are you ready to let go?
