The light of truth comes from Heaven. When the light illuminates our lives, it becomes our light. Christ kindles a light in our hearts that we can share with others. Our light helps us know the way to salvation and we can use our light to point others to Christ. Light shines, not so much that men may see our light but that they may see other things because of the light. Our lights are to shine not so others are attracted to us but to Christ. He is the light of life.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 NIV
