Living Water

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV)

Even planted along a river, it gets hot. Very hot. And there can be long months of dry spells where the waiting for fresh rain can seem to run on forever. Are you parched? Do you feel like you are stuck in the middle of this thing that will never end? Dip into the water. Reach for and take in the living water. As long as you are being fed by the Spirit, you will find the freshness you are looking for. Your thirst will be quenched. Suddenly, it won’t seem too hot and dry after all.
