Lost Sheep

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6 NIV

Without a shepherd to lead when in an open field the sheep can wander away. If we don’t have Jesus guiding us we will also wander away. There are several reasons that can cause us to wander. We can be so busy with life that we forget to spend time with Jesus through prayer and Bible study. Without our lifeline of prayer and Bible study, we can lose our footing. Sometimes we choose not to follow Jesus. Whatever reason we have for wandering away, there is a solution. Christ has the solution. He is searching for us to offer forgiveness. Whatever we have done is not bad enough for Him to reject us. He is calling us back to Him. Listen and respond to that still small voice calling out to you.

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18:12-14 NIV
