Love Your Enemies???

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. (Luke 6:35 NKJV)

Love your enemies? Why should we love those that hate us? Who wants to do good to those the hate us? This is not natural.  However, Jesus knows when we treat others with love we may turn that enemy into a friend.  Maybe or maybe not.  If we have the love of God in us we will treat others with love even if they don’t deserve it.  Isn’t that is what God does for us?  He loves us even when we don’t deserve it.
