Lying creates distrust

Do not lie to one another. After all, you have taken off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self that is being renewed in knowledge, according to the image of the One who created him. Colossians 3:9-10 TLV

Lies create distrust. When you discover someone has been lying to you, it is hard to trust them. Can you believe what they say as truth? Satan lied to Eve in the garden. Jesus said that lies come from Satan. He is the father of lies. When we give our hearts to Jesus, He will help us remove the character traits of Satan in our lives and put on the character of Jesus. We should be honest and truthful in all we do. Admitting that we were not truthful can be difficult, but it is the best way toward an honest life in Christ. He will give you the strength.
