Main Function of the Holy Spirit

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26 NIV

One of the reasons that Jesus has sent us the Holy Spirit is to teach us. The Holy Spirit helps us understand the Bible. Before opening the Bible, we should invite the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts so we can hear Jesus speaking through His word. We can read and read the Bible, but it doesn’t always sink in. This is the job of the Holy Spirit. It helps us recall what we have studied. When you are going through a crisis, the Holy Spirit will help you recall the scriptures that you need. Of course, you have to read and study the Bible so the Holy Spirit can help you recall them.
