Making Friends

A man who has friends must himself be friendly…  (Proverbs 18:24 NKJV)

When I was young my parents moved around a lot.  I often went to a different school every year. Sometimes I went to two different schools in a year.  I was shy and found it difficult to make friends.  As I have matured, I have found good advice in today’s verse. If we want to have friends we must be friendly.  We need to reach out to others. Look for others that are new and befriend them. Look for people who need help and offer your help. Sometimes it is just a word of encouragement that is needed to start a friendship. Introduce people to your best friend, Jesus.  It has been said that the only thing you take to heaven is your character.  I like to say you take your friends to heaven.

Have a blessed day.  Go and make a friend.
