I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. (Psalms 119:147-148 NIV)
Ever wake up in the middle of the night and you just can’t go back to sleep? It happens to us all at one time or another. Some of us it is a regular occurrence. Sometimes when I wake up my mind is just going a mile a minute thinking about something that happened or thinking about something that might happen. How do you calm your mind? I like to take the opportunity to pray for those that I am thinking about. Sometimes I listen to sermons on my phone. My favorite thing is to spend time praising God and talking about His promises. It brings me peace of mind. Whatever is causing you to lose sleep, try meditating on God’s promises. You will find peace for your mind.
