Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22 NIV)

The Most Holy Place was the sacred part of the temple that only the High Priest could enter. He went in once a year to intercede for the people and cleanse them from their sins. When Jesus died for our sins, the need for a high priest ceased to exist. The Bible is telling us here that we can boldly come before God’s throne because we are forgiven and accepted. I imagine this as being able to run in to the throne room and yell “Morning, Dad!” I imagine that I can be hugged and loved on. I can share anything I want and know I am heard. Jesus’ death and resurrection open the door so we have access – full and complete.

Every single day we can know that our guilt is gone. Do you feel bold today? Run in! Say hello to your Father. The door has been taken off of its hinges and is standing wide open – every day of your life.
