Our Debt

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for My own sake and will never think of them again. (Isaiah 43:25 NLT)

CNBC reported that the average American has over $90 in debt. This includes credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, and student debt.  How would you feel if someone paid your debt for you? You would not owe anyone anything. Sounds too good to be true but that is what God is offering us. We owe a huge debt of sin.  Jesus paid the debt for us. All we have to do is accept the gift He offers us, and we are free of the debt of sin. It not only sounds too good to be true, but it is TRUE!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NIV

It is the process of confessing our sins, admitting we have sinned, that God is faithful and will forgive us. Our sins are remembered no more. It is the process of forgiveness that cleanses us. We become transformed from sinner to saint.
