Praying for Others

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people– (1 Timothy 2:1 NIV)

When I was in the hospital after having my cancerous kidney removed, I was in so much pain that I could not pray.  Seems crazy but it is true.  Not only could I not talk with God, but I also didn’t want to talk to anyone else.  Because of the COVID lockdown, I could not have visitors.  I told my husband to let people know they could text me but please don’t call.

Even though I could not pray I listened to God’s Word from my phone.  I never turned the hospital TV on.  I only listened to the Bible from an app on my phone.  I didn’t speak to God, but I listened to Him.  I was still in His presence.

I also knew I had many people praying for me.  Yesterday I received a text and a song that I am sharing with you about praying for others.  It brought tears to my eyes when I listened to it.  Keep praying for others.  We don’t know the pain they are going through.

Here’s the song that I received.  I hope you are able to view it.

Somebody Prayed for Me
