Praying for Others

As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. (Exodus 17:11 NIV)

In the story of the Israelites being under attack from the Amalekites, Moses went to the top of a hill to pray for the battle.  (Read the story in Exodus 17:8-16.)  As long as Moses was in prayer, the Israelites were winning, when he stopped, they were losing.  There is a battle going on around us.  Our children, grandchildren are under attack.  Our pastors and their families are under attack.  Our spouses are under attack.  Our neighbors, nation, etc. are under attack.  We need to lift up our prayers each morning and throughout the day for our families, neighbors, nation, leaders, etc. each day so they have the power to make the right decisions to resist temptation and to be protected from the evil one.  God will hear our prayers and He will answer.
