Pressing Onward

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 NIV)

Paul says to forget about the successes and failures of the past.  Look forward.  Keep your focus on Jesus.  When we accept Christ, we are given eternal life and salvation.  While we are waiting for His return our goal is to become Christ-like and share the Gospel with others.  Paul followed what he preached.  He was always sharing the Gospel with others.  He had a great love for the people that he introduced to Jesus.  You see it in his writings.  Share what you know about Christ to others, you will be strengthen in your faith as you share God’s Word with others.  Keep studying the Word and sharing what you learn.  By beholding you will become changed.  You will continue to grow spiritually.  You will become more Christ-like.  Keep up the good work!
