Reflecting the Many Facets of God

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. (Galatians 5:25-26 NLT)

How often do you compare yourself to others?  Be honest. Do you compare yourself with others jobs, clothing, cars, marriages and children? We even do it at church! We compare our ministries, our services, our attendance…..the list goes on and on. Why do we do it? We are checking with each other to see if we got it right. But our focus is in the wrong place.  God created each of us to be unique, a one-of-a-kind, never to be duplicated person. He did that on purpose. He never wanted us to look like each other. He wants us to look like who he created us to be. Imagine if we each reflected God differently, used the talents he gave us creatively, and were unafraid to stand out as only we can.  The incredible glimpses into the many facets of God would be stunning! And, we’d be a whole lot happier……
