Regardless …

Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face. Job 13:15 NIV

I can’t think of anyone that has lost as much as Job did. He lost his children and wealth. Even his wife was no consolation to him. His friends come to comfort him, but they just say everything was his fault. What we see in this story is that the problems we face are not always because we have done something that caused them. It is not a punishment from God. Behind the scenes, Satan is at work to get us to deny Christ. I have seen where someone gives their heart to the Lord and Satan brings up all kinds of obstacles to keep the person from going to church. If someone is trying to hold you back from serving the Lord, know that it is Satan that does not want you to serve the Lord.
