Religion Doesn’t Save People

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (NIV)

Whenever we mention our belief that “Religion Does Not Save, Jesus Does”, there are a few that seem to take offense, perhaps believing that their faith is being attacked. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ, is our Rock and the foundation on which we have built this ministry, something we pray will never change! We love that He left the Word to help us get to know Him and to show us how to live according to His will. What we DO dislike though, is the artificial righteousness of worshipping that book, rather than the Writer of the book. Our Savior is not defined by a list of habits and deeds, no matter how good they might be. All the good deeds in the world wouldn’t bring us any closer to Him anyway, because “all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6 NIV). Jesus is our only hope and the source of our salvation, a fact we are thankful for every day!
