Reduce sugar intake by drinking water.

Do you have too much sugar in your daily routine…here are just 3 simple ways to cut down on sugar:

1: Drink Water Instead of Sugary Drinks
This is the easiest tip to follow…don’t stock the fridge with all those “sugar” drinks.  Instead, stock water whether it be by the gallon, the 20 oz bottle or buying a favorite cup to pour it in.  Drinking water is the easiest and best way to cut down on sugar…and of course, to keep yourself hydrated.

2: Choose Fruit Over Candy
Get in the habit of having fruit on hand that is easily eaten…cherries, grapes, blueberries.  Eat a handful of fruit instead of that favorite candy bar. Fruit sugars occur naturally and are part of a full nutrient package, not like candies that have an “overdose” of sugars.

3: Check the Label
Start checking labels of all your food.  Soon, you will learn that foods you didn’t even know had sugar, do, and sometimes, it is a huge amount. When checking a label, know that ingredients are listed from most to least, so you can clearly see where sugar stands.  But beware, some sugar could be hidden under an alias, like sucralose, saccharin, or aspartame (lab-made sugar).
