TGIF

You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about His relationship with you. (Exodus 34:14 NLT)

God is asking us to put Him first in our lives.  He wants a close relationship with us.  There are many ways we can put Him first.  Paying tithe comes to mind.  When you get your pay check, pay your tithe first before the bills.  You will be surprised how God makes the rest of the money stretch to meet your needs.  Put Him first in our relationships with others.  If someone wants to go or do something that would be contrary to what God would want, we need to say no.  Putting Him first means to evaluate what we spend our time on such as TV, movies, etc. that will pull our thoughts away from Him.  (I am talking to myself.)  The more time we spend with God the more like Him we become.  The more we love Him the more we show love to those around us.  Jesus said to put the Kingdom of God first.  Remember to TGIF – Today, God Is First!

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)
