The 3rd Day Changed Everything

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” (Matthew 28:5-7 NIV)

On Friday, the day Jesus was crucified, was the worse day of the disciples lives. Their beloved friend, master, and teacher was crucified.  They were fearful they would be next.  They were in deep depression the next day.  They were in such emotional pain.  How could this have happened?  The third day only the women were able to get up and get out of the house.  They had to take care of His body.  When they get to the tomb they see an angel who tells them Jesus is not there.  He has risen just like He said He would.  “See, His body is not here.”  They run to tell the disciples.  They don’t believe the women.  Peter and John run to the tomb and check.  The body is not there.  They still don’t believe it.  It is not until evening before they see Jesus in the flesh.  What a difference the 3rd day made not only to them but to us as well.  Thank you Jesus for the 3rd day!  Thank you for dying for us so we may live with you through out eternity.
