What does God want from us? God wants us to love each other. Have compassion for each other. God wants us to show each other respect. Be honest and do what is right. This is something that should come from our hearts. God does not expect us to check off items on a list. Our works are not good enough. What God wants is for us to have a heart that He can dwell in. He wants His righteousness to shine through us.
And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? Deuteronomy 10:12-13 NIV
