The Gift of Quiet and Restful Sleep

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psalms 4:8 NIV

When you were a child, did you learn the prayer:

“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray thee, Lord, my soul to keep; See me safely through the night, And wake me with the morning’s light.”

This prayer was a nursery rhyme. I remember my mother teaching me it. Our verse for today talks about having peace so that whatever is going on in our world, we can have peace and be able to sleep through the night. We can sleep because we are in the arms of the Lord, and He watches over us.
