The Verse After

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17 NIV

We all have our favorite verses in the Bible. One of the most popular is John 3:16. God loves us and gave His Son to save us so that we have eternal life. However, so many people think God is a wrathful God out to squash us like a bug when we step out of line. That’s where the verse after John 3:16 shows the deep love of God. God did not send Jesus to condemn us but to save us. Everyone fears judgment. Mainly because none of us are perfect and know we don’t deserve God’s love. John 3:16 and 17 tell us that God loves us despite our sinful selves. That’s why Jesus came. We can have life through Jesus. Choose Him today.
