Trust in the Lord

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Proverbs 3:5-6 (GNT)

What does it mean to trust in the Lord with all your heart? Trusting in the Lord with all my heart means when you are facing a dead end whether it be financial, emotional, relational (or all three at once), that you dig deep into your safe place (God) and stay there.  We will not always understand why things happen and our understanding is often short-sighted. God says he alone knows the end from the beginning. What we are supposed to do is trust that he does understand and his promises are sure.

Father God, we can’t see things as you do and we may not understand all that is happening. What we can do is trust you and use that trust as our fortress until the storm passes. Amen.
