Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV)

King Jehoshaphat received word that the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir were coming to war against him.  He knew that his army was no match for this multitude of soldiers coming his way.  Does he turn to Egypt or other nearby countries for assistance as other kings have done? No, he turns to God.  He knows God is all powerful and can save them.  He invites all the people, young and old, to a prayer meeting.  God hears their prayers and responds.  He tells them to prepare for war but just stand and watch because the battle is the Lord’s.  They prepare to go and watch and sing praises on their way.  God is true to His word.  The people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir turn on each other and totally destroy one another.  Not only did God take care of them but word gets out to neighboring kingdoms and they are afraid to even think of going against Judah because what God has done for Judah.

Are you facing a difficult situation?  God can do the same for us.  All we have to do is keep our eyes on Jesus.  He will take on your battle as His.  Just stand and see what He will do for you.  Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.
