Waiting, waiting, and waiting

The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. (2 Peter 3:9 NLT)

Are you homesick for heaven? Are you wondering why hasn’t Jesus come by now? Many people doubt He will ever come.  Yes, it has been over 2,000 years since Jesus made this promise.  Yes, it has been a long time.  Why is He waiting? I think the answer is in the last part of today’s verse. He is giving us time to repent. He wants everyone to choose Him so that they may have life. What an awesome God who is full of love and compassion for us sinners.
