We Are All Part of the Body

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12 NLT)

Paul talks about the body of the church in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 and how it is designed to work harmoniously together.  Just as each of our body parts has a function, each of us has a function in the church.  When we are missing a par,t it limits what we can do.  If we have a broken arm it limits what we can lift or write if it is our dominate arm.  We are each a part of the body of Christ, His church.  We each have a function within the church.  One part is not more important than another.  One part is not least important than another.  Each part is needed.  To have a fully functioning church we need to work in harmony with each other.  When one part is weak, a stronger one needs to help the weak part.  We need to lift each other up.  What a joy to be part of a body that loves each other, that lifts each other up, that helps each other.
