We Are Clay

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8 NIV)

Lord, today please take your potter’s hands and work just a little bit more on this piece of clay. Maybe fix a crack here or a chip there. Maybe hollow out some more of the inside so I can hold more of your living water. Can you make my spout bigger so more of you comes out when you tip me over? Or how about a handle to make it easier to tip? Of course, these are my limited ideas of how you would mold me but since you are the potter, you know best. I leave all this in your very capable hands.  Amen.
